Most all of the "so called" progressives are in reality, globalists intent on destroying your freedom and instituting the NWO. Where everyone will be tracked every minute of every day. There will be the elites and those who SERVE period. Any notion of individual privacy or freedom will be crushed.

Whether or not the glass is half empty or half full depends on how it is used going forward.

According to what you report above, (the) “NSF emphasizes that Americans profess to have very positive views about science. They overwhelmingly think science makes our lives better and that it deserves federal funding. And they have an apparently abiding trust in the leaders of the scientific community. “

Societal attitudes are not static and are tied to people's own sense of future prospects and personal well being. Certainly these are trying times for many. But much of the way forward involves the appropriate utilization of scientific and technological advances.

So we have opportunity if we can get the message out to the public.

I work for an organization which attempts to educate people in the area of biomedical (stem cell) research. What I am finding is really sad---I really don't think that Americans are stupid -- they are just very, very poorly informed.
Many people are allowing others to do their thinking for them....you know the Faux news types or the ultra-religious types. I recently had a ultra fundi tell me that saving stem cells is more important than my 10 year olds life (he has diabetes).

Is it any wonder about America's interest in Science - when the Exxon Mobil advertizement notes - - 'I've been studying Algae for "35 YEARS"....' Can you imagine - 35 yrs and NO SIGNIFICANT RESULT! Sounds to me that 'Science' has went the same route as 'Big Pharma',
'Big Banks', BIG Everything - devoid of meaningful RESULTS. OH WELL - I have to get back to web trooling.
