Bioethics Forum, an online publication of the nonpartisan Hastings Center, is intended as a place for "diverse online commentary about issues in bioethics." The remarks of Forum authors, which do not necessarily reflect the views of Center staff, are expected to be reasoned and thoughtful--and to generate discussion. The provocative remarks by 10 of the 18 members of the President's Council on Bioethics did just that. Readers of Science Progress will want to check out two rejoinders: Clarifying the President’s Council’s Clarification of the Obama Stem Cell Policy is by Insoo Hyun, who teaches bioethics at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine, chairs the Ethics and Public Policy Committee of the International Society for Stem Cell Research, and co-chairs the ISSCR's Task Force on Guidelines for the Clinical Translation of Stem Cells. The New Stem Cell Policy and Public Opinion is by Hastings Center scholar Josephine Johnston. Also, read comments on the orginal posting. --Mary Crowley, Director of Public Affairs and Communications

Should we expect anything other than this type of behavior from Bush Admin holdovers though?

It looks like we'll be confronted with more 'cockroaches' throughout this Administration as time goes on.

Which was the explicit goal when Bush et al burrowed these types of individuals throughout various departments....sigh.
