Consider two facts: 1. To date, there is not even a hypothesis on how they work. The work is Euristic, a "trial and error and hope" work with no theory behind it to reflect basic understanding. 2. To date, the results do not justify investments. If it did, private companies would be racing for the big profits. Now, only Potential, promise, hope and Potential, lots of them and little else. With all the problems out there... Did you know that vitamins have proven ineffective to avoid many illnesses that were, loudly, proclaimed to have the "potential" to give some immunity. Results showed nothing of that sort. And, that was vitamins. Are we so scared of illness or death that we will pursue anything that has potential, hope or promise? And, ignore helping the poor, homeless and sick? We need better priorities than to persue a holy grail, over and over. After all the work to date, stem cells looks like a mirage, with a dollar link.
