Why would Bush budget for the health of Americans when his goal as leader was the general dilapidation of the world in the process of bolstering the pocketbooks of his oligarch cronies?

Jeff:

I'm glad that the numbers are useful. All of the data for FY2008 funding levels are hyperlinked to the AAAS R&D Budget and Policy program sources (some of which are complex tables). The supplemental amounts needed to boost budgets by 10 percent, the number of years Iraq war funding could support the agencies, and the number of NIH grants the war funding could support are just in-house calculations dividing the agency money into the Iraq war funding.

You should really post your sources. Links would be helpful for those interested in the numbers.
